My Story
I had a blast in 2024 at the Pledge The Pink event, so I’m gonna do it again in 2025!!
Pledge the Pink is a 3 day/ 30 mile race event to raise money to fight against- and help put an end to- Breast Cancer. This year we will be on Fripp Island in SC. The walk is October 17-19.
I am asking for your support!
Cancer has affected all of us!
Everyone knows someone who currently has, or has had, cancer.
And Breast Cancer has affected most of us- It accounts for 1 in 3 newly diagnosed female cancers annually; and, 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime! Ugg!!
As a medical provider, I have dedicated my life to helping people get well, be well and stay well. I feel strongly about educating others on the importance of breast cancer screenings and supporting programs that help women get the resources they need to be screened and get appropriate medical care.
Doing the Pledge The Pink walk is another way to educate- while honoring/memorializing those who have fought the battle – AND, it helps ensure everyone who needs a mammogram is able to get one. The sea of Flamingos you see in some of the pictures stand for $ raised. Each flamingo represents $100 (the approximate cost of a mammogram). Pledge The Pink has raised over $3,000,000 since its start in 2011!! Way To GO PTP!!
