My Story

“Things are never quite as scary when you’ve got a best friend.” – Bill Watterson

Almost everyone I know who has stared down cancer has said that part of their strength came from their support network. I’m lucky to have some of the best friends on the planet, and they are part of my team. They are strong, and fearless, and dedicated.

This year my team will return to Fripp Island, SC. This will be my 20th year to take to the streets and beach sand. It is our own way of joining the fight and bringing awareness to the cause. In addition to walking for our many, many friends and family members, we are once again walking to bring awareness that our pets can get breast cancer, too.

I’m happy to say that this year I don’t need to dedicate my walk to a “new” memorial or fighter. So I’ll dedicate my walk to all of those I love who have fought so hard and faced their fears head on.

You can help by supporting my walk with a donation. Or even by cheering us on. It all counts and it is all appreciated. But I’ve set my fundraising goal at $500.00, and those funds will be very well used to help a lot of people. Skip the Starbucks one day; you won’t miss it that much!
