My Story

Five years ago, a friend said we needed to do this 3-day walk because there was a medal called the “triple nipple” that we would earn. So a group of us got together and did the LoCoMotion walk. It was the experience of a lifetime. There were women there from all over, walking and running to raise money to provide mammograms to those in need. There were breast cancer survivors that led us every morning. It touched my heart.

Since then, I’ve been back three more times. This walk means so much to me. I walk in memory of AnnaBelle Carter, Doris Carter, Agnes Cornell Massey, Doris Canfield, and Thurston Murray. I walk I honor of Karen Martinez, Susannah Eleazer, Cathy Stinson, and Olivia Wilson. I’m walking for all those who can’t, to give hope to those in the future.

I’m walking again this year to help fund more mammograms. Early detection of breast cancer is key. Please help by making a donation today!
