My Story

My fundraising, training, and walking are all in honor of the amazing warriors battling breast cancer, the survivors who’ve come out stronger on the other side, and those that are no longer with us. My teammates and I are grateful for the opportunity to provide necessary preventative mammograms to all who need them through the generous donations of our family and friends. We’re also proud to have our own survivor leading the pack of 1500 walkers each morning!

Please consider supporting us in our efforts. Any amount is appreciated and every $50 provides a free mammogram. We’d like to walk in honor of you and your loved ones as well. Please indicate the name(s) of those you’d like us to represent and we will include them on our flamingos, displayed at the event. The sea of flamingos at the finish line, depicted in the cover and profile photos, are inspiring.

Our team thrives on contributing to the joy and celebration of the event. The tutus, “flabongo”, uniform designs, backpack speaker, and love of laughter are just a few ways we do so. After you complete your donation, shoot me a message with a song request for us to add to our weekend soundtrack.
