they mean more than you know
We are walking for everyone we know who is survivor, caregiver, family member and friend who has been affected by cancer.. all cancer.. It’s awful and wish no one to ever have to go thru this.
On November 20th, 2018 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Started Chemo on November 26th, from there had Double Mastectomy then Radiation.
This year, each participant that raises at least $5000 through donations and fundraisers can decide where their funds will be allocated. I have chosen to raise money for The Betty Torricelli Foundation at Hackensack University Hospital in Hackensack, NJ, where I spent many months of treatment.-+
The Betty Torricelli Institute for Breast Cancer was where my follow up ultrasound and biopsies were done. I knew at the appointment that I had cancer and I am sure the doctors and nurses knew too but were ‘allowed” to tell me. On November 13th and 16th 2018 the support I received from the nurses ( I wish I knew their names), and Drs. Margaret Emy and Gail Starr were I swear what got me thru those days. ( along with my husband) . I am choosing this Foundation because this is where my “journey” began.
