My Story

I’m thrilled to be participating in the 30-mile PTP walk to raise awareness about breast cancer. It was five years ago in August that I lost my beloved Aunt Doris. Coincidentally , an acquaintance from my hometown approached me about joining a team to walk 60 miles to raise funds for breast cancer. Her team included a breast cancer survivor, KT, who shared her story, her laughter and of course healing tears. Over the course of the 60 miles, we formed a friendship that has transcended miles, beliefs, and schedules. It’s been over a year since we seen each other and I couldn’t resist her invitation to join the PTP walk.

I walk for KT, my Aunt Doris, the Survivors, the Thrivers, and those taken from us too early.
