My Story

I’m thrilled to be participating in the 30-mile PTP walk to raise awareness about breast cancer. 5 years ago a friend from my hometown approached me about joining a team to walk 60 miles to raise funds for breast cancer. Her team included a breast cancer survivor, KT, who shared her story, her laughter and of course healing tears. Over the course of the 60 miles, we formed a friendship that has transcended miles, beliefs, and schedules. It’s been over a year since we have seen each other, and I couldn’t resist her invitation to join the PTP walk.

I walk for KT, the many Survivors and Thrivers in my life, and those I miss taken from us too early.
