My Story
In 2011, Pledge the Pink was a small, local, charity walk—aimed at fighting cancer in South Carolina, Twelve years later, this breast cancer event has raised over $2,000,000. Through the sister charity, Pledge the Pink Foundation (formally known as Carolina Cups), these dollars provide gap funding for heroic, budget-restricted, nonprofit service providers around the country.
This year I will join the New Kids in the Flock on their 2nd race. We will walk 33.1 miles over 3 days on Oak Island, North Carolina. Training has already started. This race will rival the many walks and events I have participated in over the years.
Cancer has touched my life in many ways, as it has for so many of us. It is a horrible disease. I am joining this fun fundraising event in memory of my father, cousins, and friends who fought the good fight and in honor of my mother and cousins who beat and survived to tell the story.
Please join my team with me through a donation of any size. Every penny counts. Thank you.
