My Story
A few years back, on a whim I decided to do this local breast cancer walk with my sister. My legs hurt and my feet hurt, but man on man did I have a great time!! So much a great time, that before I left that weekend, I had already registered to come back and do it again.
Over the years we have shared so many memories, made so many friends ( some still with us while others are in our hearts).
Strange how such a mean illness can bring together so many people to support a cause.
I am very fortunate to be involved with this organization and an event that brings people together to raise awareness, honor those affected by breast cancer and help provide education and mammograms for early detection.
Its that time again for fund raising. I’m a little late getting started this year trying to get donations raised to help find an end to breast cancer. Every contribution matters and makes a difference and your generosity will help support local programs that provide hope and resources to those facing breast cancer.
I saw a shirt while I was walking that said it best, I walk so that little girls will grow up in a world where pink ribbons are for ponytails and prom dresses. Don’t forget boys and animals get it too.
So if you would like to celebrate a breast cancer thriver, or honor a breast cancer angel please help me reach my goal and simply click the link and donate away!!
