My Story
Like all good ideas, it started as a conversation over dinner and drinks… for my 50th birthday I vowed to myself to do something meaningful and impactful. I’m excited to be walking the 3-day, 30 miles, Pledge The Pink walkathon in support of breast cancer awareness. I’ll be walking in honor of one of my best girls who is brave and strong – and won her battle.
Pledge The Pink started as a small charity that grew into an amazing 3 day event with 1500 of our closest friends. For 2025 we have a collective goal of reaching $1,000,000 in fundraising. For 15 years, through their sister charity Pledge the Pink Foundation, these dollars provide gap funding for heroic, budget-restricted, nonprofit service providers.
Early detection of breast cancer SAVES LIVES. 1 in 8 women will have breast cancer in their life. It’s become too common place not to give access for early detection to everybody who needs it.
I have a special place in my heart for grass roots charities who are dedicated to a cause and become known for the movement they’ve created. Pledge The Pink is just that and I’m so excited to support them and be a part of an incredible weekend.
