My Story
It’s that time of year again when 1500 of us gather to walk 30 miles over 3 days to raise money to fight breast cancer.
I walk because I know how this horrid disease can ravage a family. I’ve lost too many in my family and have those that have fought and are now survivors, YAY. I know the battles they have gone through. I walk in hopes that we will help prevent more families from this heartache.
And so I walk to bring awareness, give support and hope that one day we will find an end to breast cancer. It is truly an inspirational 3 days and 30 miles
The money raised by all of us provides mammograms for many of those that are unable to afford this very critical first step. Early detection and awareness is crucial.
I truly thank those who helped me last year to reach my personal goal of $300.00. I hope to meet my new goal of $500 this year for my birthday in memory of those I have lost.
No amount is too small, every dollar counts and is so appreciated.
