My Story
My Journey and Why I Walk
My determination to help end breast cancer began in 2007. I signed up for a two-day, 39.3-mile walk, knowing no one, in a city far from home — and with no idea how I’d raise the required $1,800.
I joined that walk to grieve and honor my dad, who passed away in 2006. I thought it would be just one walk — but that single step turned into 15 walks across more than 10 cities nationwide, including Washington, D.C., Boston, Charlotte, Houston, Chicago, Breckenridge, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, and New York City.
The statistics are real and sobering: 1 in 8 women will hear the words, “You have breast cancer.” Those words are spoken every three minutes, every day, all day long.

Joining the Fight Again in 2026!
In October 2026, I’ll be taking on the Pledge the Pink Walk on beautiful Oak Island, NC — 3 days, 30 miles, and one big goal: to raise $1,000 in the fight against breast cancer.
Every dollar truly makes a difference. Your support helps provide access to care, promote early detection, and fund vital research — bringing us one step closer to ending this disease for good.
