My Story

I’m joining Wendy and “Sharon’s Flock Rocks” for the third time.
This year we’ll be at Fripp Island (SC)

Our team will walk in memory of Sharon, our fun and flamingo-loving fighter who we’re named after. I walk in memory of Darlene (MIL) and her brother’s wife Aunt Eileen; also in memory of my son-in-law’s grandmother.

I walk in honor of those who have survivived – and this year one of my favorite survivors will join me on this walk again.

I walk for those in the middle of their cancer journey.

Most importantly, we (me and 1499 fellow “flockstars”) walk to raise money to find a cure for this terrible disease. We long for the day no one ever has to lose a loved one to cancer again.
