My Story
Hi! I am about to embark on my 6th. Pledge the Pink Breast Cancer Awareness walk. This year’s walk is on Amelia Island FL, and I will be walking 30 miles as part of team For 3 Sisters.
I am proud to lace up my Hoka’s once again and walk for this fantastic organization. For 3 Sisters is located in Olney, Maryland. They are dedicated to not only raising awareness to breast cancer, but assisting the men and women who fall prey to this terrible monster. Since 2019 I have been walking in Pledge the Pink walks to raise money to find a cure for breast cancer. The walkers that I have met made a lasting impression on me. Spending time with them, as we walked, and listening to their stories, was an experience in itself. We laughed and cried as we bonded together and became members of the flock. Each and everyone has their own story, but they are all fighters and don’t want to give in to this enemy that has attacked their well being. Cancer is not selective, it affects women, men, old, young and all races. Over the years, I have seen fighters, survivors, and those who finally lost their fight. Their courage, faith, hope and love has been an inspiration to me and gives me the determination to keep walking for those that can’t.
If you donated to me in the past, I greatly appreciated it, and hope that you can contribute again this year. No donation is too small. If our team can raise $5000, 75% of the monies raised by us will be sent to “For 3 Sisters”. This money will help this terrific charity carry out their motto: ” No one fights breast cancer alone”.
Please help me to do my part by supporting my journey to raise over $2,025 to help find a cure for this awful disease.
