Many of you have supported me as I walked in San Francisco, Santa Barbara and Pledge the Pink in 2019 for the angels and survivors of Breast Cancer. I appreciate each and every one of you who donated to my 2019 Pledge the Pink fundraising! I had such a blast i am doing it again in 2022, however this year as a survivor!!
When I started my breast cancer walks a good friends mom Frannie was on my survivors side. We walked as “Team Frannie” in her honor. Since then, Frannie sadly passed and has moved to my angels side. I will continue to walk in her memory as she was my strength for walking 39 miles in two days.
This year continues to be close to home for me as my Aunt Sandy was diagnosed and is a survivor of breast cancer and my father has been battling bladder cancer for over four years. I am emotionally excited to walk in their honor this year. Please let me know if you have any angels or survivors you would like me to walk for.
On May 31st 2022, I was diagnosed with breast cancer myself. In March of 2022 I found a lump in my right breast, was misdiagnosed as just a boil and finally had it biopsied and diagnosed with triple negative stage 3 breast cancer.
30 MILES ~ 3 DAYS
Did you know that $100 funds a mammogram?
Which means that every 100 dollars you donate could save a life.
We recognize these heroic donations by placing a plastic pink flamingo in our annual Flocks of Love display for every mammogram raised. I will be dedicating a flamingo to someone special in memory or honor for every $100 i raise at the event.
I would sincerely appreciate your support for this fundraiser as well as prayers for my family to continue to be strong survivors of cancer.
