My Story

I am writing to share an exciting journey I am embarking on
and invite you to be a part of it.
In October 2024 at the age of 78, I’ll be lacing up my walking shoes for my very first Pledge the Pink walk a – 3 day, 30 mile
stride to support breast cancer awareness and research. It’s a
challenge I’m enthusiastically embracing, even though it’s
considerably more than I’m used to!
For the past few years my wife and I have been actively involved in supporting our daughter Linda P and her Solo Strutters team in their efforts for Pledge the Pink. The dedication of my family to this cause has inspired me to take a more active role this year.
As I prepare for this meaningful journey, I am not only training my body but also seeking your encouragement and support,
Breast cancer has touched the lives of so many, including our own family, and this walk is my way of contributing to the fight against this disease.
I believe that age is no barrier when it comes to making a difference. It’s never to late to contribute to a cause that matters, and I am determined to do my part in the fight against breast cancer.
I am reaching out to friends, family and you to ask for your support, Your donations will directly contribute to breast cancer research, awareness programs, and support for those in need. Every dollar brings us one step closer to a cure.
