My Story
Hello this year I’m walking 30 miles in 3 days on 3 different Islands with Pledge The Pink for the fourth time. I really love PTP because they work so hard to help people in need in so many ways. Please check out the website for all they do.
Every $100 funds a mammogram?
Which means that every 100 dollars donated could save a life.
They recognize these donations by placing a plastic pink flamingo in our annual Flocks of Love display for every mammogram raised. What a sight to see, It’s so awesome!
Why I do this: I am a SURVIVOR! I am 14 years Cancer free. I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2007 at the age of 37. I had chemo, radiation and a mastectomy with tram flap reconstruction. Everything happened so fast and I felt I really didn’t have time to digest everything they were telling me. I can tell you one of the biggest things that helped me get through all of this was talking with other survivors who understood what I was going through and helped talk me through a lot of it. I’m so thankful I had so much support from my family, friends and coworkers. Not everyone has the support or funds to get through all this and I want to help. To show them they are not alone, they can do this and we are here to help them get through their treatment.
You see, without fundraisers like Pledge the Pink to help support survivors, cancer treatments and research we would not have come as far as we have and I might not be here. So, Please donate even if it’s just $5.00 every dollar counts.
Thank you for your support,
Trish Molnar
My favorite saying: Allow yourself moments just don’t get stuck in them.
