My Story

All of us have been affected by breast cancer, whether it is a relative, friend, or ourselves. This event provides donations for research, treatment, and support. If a team raises enough funds they can choose a breast cancer charity that is important to them. I am fortunate enough to be part of a team “For Three Sisters.” I’ve never met the team, but it will be an adventure.

This is a much shorter (thank god) walk than the ones I’ve done previously. This one is 10 miles a day for three days, on Fripp Island, SC. So, in addition to having a few days of great walks I get to spend time with 1500 other walkers on an island, maybe participate in a golf cart parade, and go to drag queen bingo. Who could ask for a better way to spend a weekend?
