My Story

This Pledge the Pink to walk 30 miles in three days will be my first. My goals for my first walk at the end of October are threefold:

** Raise awareness of the importance of early detection.
Mammograms are the best way to catch breast cancer early.
Early detection pushes the 5-year survival rate to nearly 100%.

** Get outside my comfort zone and challenge myself to walk 30 milesI
I better make sure my FitBit battery is fully charged.

** Support my sister-in-law Shari.
Rockstar Shari has walked over 540 miles and raised over $80k – wow!

Pledge the Pink Foundation is a charity dedicated to funding breast cancer screening, treatment and research. The non-profit foundation provides funding for free mammograms, medical assistance and outreach services for those that need it the most.
