My Story

I am once again working to help defeat cancer and support those whose lives have been stricken by this terrible disease. My sisters and I will be participating in the Pledge the Pink Walk in October in South Carolina. It will be three days and 30 miles of sore muscles and blisters, but I’m ready to take on the challenge! Some of you know that I walked in 2014 in Santa Barbara and in 2017 in New York City in honor of my brother, Bill, who died at the age of 61 of cancer. My sisters and I also walked in the 2019 Pledge the Pink on Fripp Island, SC. I feel dedicated to doing something in my brother’s memory that might help others successfully fight cancer, regardless of the type of cancer it is!
Part of this work is fundraising so that the critical work can be carried on to fund important research and community programs both locally and nationally. This is about saving lives, and I’m ready to do my part.
