My Story

I fundraise for metastatic breast cancer research in memory of Madge Caplis, Annie Goodman and Debbie Bergin. Madge was in her late 20s, Annie was in her early 30s and Debbie was in her late 40s – they were all taken too soon by metastatic breast cancer.

Debbie was born a week before me and managed metastatic breast cancer for several years before she died weeks before our WPHS 30th Reunion.

Annie was a Delta Gamma I met at Founders Day at Tennessee Tech – she was in remission and passionate about sharing her story.

Madge was a Delta Gamma I worked with on the Website Committee. We never met, but her courageous battle inspired me to do an annual fundraiser for breast cancer for the rest of my life.
